23. Marcliffe Hotel and Spa
Situated in 11 acres of wooded grounds and ideally positioned for visiting Scotland’s castle and whisky country, is the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa owned by the Spence family. Within a two hour drive of the hotel there are over fifty castles, thirty malt whisky distilleries and fifty golf courses.
The Conservatory Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (outside in Summer) specialises in local Grampian produce: Aberdeen Angus beef, game from the estates, fish and shellfish from local rivers and fishing ports.
The wine cellar holds over 400 wines and the Drawing Room bar is stocked with more than 100 malt whiskies.
